The Saffire 6 electric guitar combines distinctive retro-inspired styling with versatile modern electronics and comfortable playability. Featuring three custom-wound single-coil pickups and an advanced 5-position ATN V “Variator” system, the Saffire 6 gives players an impressive range of tonal possibilities from a single instrument.
Built with an Okoume body, Canadian hard maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, the Saffire 6 offers a balanced, responsive playing feel. Its slightly shorter 24.74" / 628 mm scale length provides a comfortable string feel, while 23 Medium Jumbo frets including a zero fret and a bone nut contribute to smooth and precise playability.
At the heart of the Saffire 6 are three Alan Entwistle Custom-Wound Low-Noise Astrosonic single-coil pickups. They deliver the clarity, definition and responsiveness associated with single-coil designs while helping to minimise unwanted noise.
A conventional 5-way pickup selector provides quick access to different pickup combinations, while the 5-position ATN V “Variator” rotary switch expands the guitar's tonal capabilities even further. By altering the frequency characteristics of the pickups, the Variator allows players to explore a wider variety of tonal colours without relying solely on the standard tone control.
The HiLo Vibrato bridge provides smooth, expressive pitch modulation, while Wilkinson sealed tuners offer reliable and precise tuning. The guitar comes fitted with Elixir 09–42 coated strings for a smooth feel and extended string life.
