Built with an Okoume body, Canadian hard maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, the Saffire Ultra offers a balanced and responsive playing experience. Its 24.74" / 628 mm scale length provides a comfortable feel and slightly reduced string tension, while 23 Medium Jumbo frets including a zero fret and a bone nut support smooth, precise playability.
The guitar is equipped with three Alan Entwistle Custom-Wound Low-Noise Astrosonic single-coil pickups, delivering the clarity, definition and dynamic response associated with single coils while helping to reduce unwanted noise.
A traditional 5-way pickup selector provides quick access to different pickup combinations. The distinctive 5-position ATN V “Variator” rotary switch takes tonal versatility even further, offering additional frequency shaping within the pickups' tonal range. Together with dedicated Volume, Tone and High-Cut controls, players have extensive control for tailoring their sound to different playing styles, amplifiers and effects.
The HiLo Vibrato bridge provides smooth and expressive pitch modulation, while Wilkinson sealed tuners offer reliable tuning performance. Elixir 09–42 coated strings complete the setup for a smooth playing feel and extended string life.
